As a neuroscientist, the complexity of our brain highly fascinates me on cellular, circuit and behavioral level. Using structural MRI analysis, I am now focusing on a volumetric and shape-based description of subcortical structures in Rasmussen’s encephalitis, a condition that again demonstrates us how dynamic the brain can adapt to structural and functional impairments.
