LEON ERNST
M.D. candidate

In the search for a scientific field with strong clinical relevance and translational potential I recognized multimodal neuroimaging to be an ideal area to combine both my interests in applied neurology and neuroscience. My research is focused on a better understanding of structural changes in different serotypes of limbic encephalitis in order to strengthen the role of MRI in the diagnosis of this disease. In addition I am interested in defining MRI-changes due to neuroplasticity in patients after marked hemispheric lesions.
